SAT / ACT Prep

We are now offering an SAT / ACT Prep course utilizing a vocabulary program called What’s the Word?.  The course will be offered over a 12-week period and classes will meet for one hour per week. What’s the Word? makes teaching vocabulary quick, easy, and fun for students by using clever song and skits on video, illustrated flashcards, and student-friendly workbooks to build both understanding and retention.  The flashcards incorporate the use of antonyms and synonyms.  The workbooks use a variety of questions – true/false, word searches, fill in the blank, matching, etc. There is no boring memorization. Works for “regular” kids, gifted kids, ESL and those with barriers to learning due to dyslexia, ADHD, emotional problems, etc.
